Milan, Italy
Price
The price would be in the midrange for a major city hotel, what added value to this hotel was that both breakfast and dinner were included in the price of the room.
I booked and paid for a standard room but when checking in I was informed I had received an upgrade so ended up staying in a Junior Suite. ( I happily went up to a lovely roomy suite!)
Location
The hotel is infront of the main Milan train station, Milano Centrale. That made it a very convenient location, it was just a matter of walking across Piazza Duca D'Aosta and you had arrived at the hotel.
The hotel building is quite nondescript with discreet signage.
Facilities
The Junior Suite was spacious with a separate bedroom, there was a sofa bed in the living part of the suite. The room came with a safe, a bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Two televisions for the two different parts of the suite.
Sofa bed and living room part of the suite.
A work area, looking into the bedroom.
A very spacious bathroom, with a bidet.
A double vanity, looking out to the wardrobe which included a safe.
Optional Extras
A buffet dinner was included in the price of the room. The views of the area around the station, the suite was situated at the corner of the building and so had windows facing the station and the road going past the station.
View from the room.
Summary
Anyone who was travelling through Milan and stopping for a few days this hotel is perfect. The location near the train station is fantastic, having breakfast and dinner included in the price was great. Especially if you're only in Milan for a few hours between flights or trains. The meals were buffet style so plenty of choice and they catered for all dietary requirements. (So vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available)
I loved the fact that it overlooked the train station and piazza, great people watching and interesting to see the area slow down with nightfall and wake up the next morning.
As someone who frequently travels through Milan, I'll be stopping here again.
