Royal Tiaras

My collection so far (that I've seen, not own!) The Scroll tiara, worn by Kate Middleton on her wedding day. I kept getting tiara youtube videos recommended to me and then realised I've seen quite a few of the recommendations in real life. So as I like putting together collections, here are the ones I've seen. Cartier Exhibition, National Gallery of Australia The National Gallery of Australia held a Cartier exhibition in 2018. I travelled to Canberra and was able to see this exhibition, on display were some tiaras as well as other jewels and Cartier objects. What made this exhibition special was that the items on display were not just those owned by Cartier but also loaned to Cartier for the exhibition, including jewels owned by Queen Elizabeth II. Once such item was the Scroll tiara, ( the Halo Cartier tiara) which the Queen loaned to Kate Middleton on her wedding day. Where to stay: Pullman G Bangkok

Nice hotel in a good location Price Mid range price and good value for money Location Very good location, just off the freeway from the airport so it removes much of the moving through crowded Bangkok traffic. A five minute walk from the Skytrain (BST) station of Chong nonsi, which makes it easy to travel around Bangkok. Can also walk down to the river in about 20 minutes to the Sathorn Pier to travel along the river. Plenty of restaurants and street food vendors in the area. Facilities Good sized rooms The hotel has a lounge bar area for quick bites, an attached restaurant which is a burger, wine and liquor bar, upstairs is a restaurant that in the morning serves breakfast and then is an Italian restaurant called 'Thaittoria'. On the 37th floor is a wine bar and restaurant which boast fantastic views, especially at night. There is a Spa, a Gym with steam and sauna rooms, and an outdoor pool. Sheffield Tasmania

The town of murals Sheffield is a small town in northern Tasmania that has become well known for its murals. In the 1980s the local tourist board, inspired by a small town in Canada that had painted murals, came up with the idea of painting murals on the town buildings as a tourist attraction. Most buildings in the town have a mural painted on them and there's a Mural Festival held every April. I had decided to spend a night in the town after leaving Cradle Mountain. Sheffield is about an hour's drive from the National Park and I had read about the murals so it seemed the perfect place to stay. The town certainly didn't disappoint and I loved the murals. This was the first mural to be completed in December 1986, it shows Gustav Weindorfer, the man responsible for having Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair declared a National Park. The scene depicted is his chalet in the park area with snow on the ground. The murals illustrate notable people from the local area. ...

Abigwideworld: There's a big wide world out there and I want to see as much of it as possible, is a sentence that I have used over the years to explain why I love to travel so much.
